The complete lineup of Newbee leads the Dota 2 World Ranking in September. Three of them have never been at the top before.
Since [newbee] leads the Dota 2 World Ranking of the teams by a big margin, their players logically are also the very best in the World Ranking of Dota players. The whole team – [kaka], [kphoenii], [faith], [moogy] and [sccc] – share the first place this month. Since the addition of Kaka and KPhoenii to the team, the five have played seven major tournaments and only once finished worse than third place.
With Moogy, Sccc and Faith being at the top of the Dota 2 World Ranking for the first time, they extend the list of leaders to 34 players. Sccc is the ninth youngest to ever reach the top just two weeks after his 22. birthday. Faith however is one of the oldest World Ranking leaders in history. Only seven players were older than his 25 years and 207 days.
Ana is the most valuable free agent right now
The player ranking would be in a fine order with Newbees players at the top followed by the lineups of [og], [team liquid] and [evil geniuses] but the TI-aftermath has already taken its toll. [ana], rank 6 at the moment, was let go from OG and replaced by [resolution]. The Australian, by the way the third youngest player among the top 6 ever, is the highest ranked free agent so far. With his skills and young age he is sure to find a great team for the upcoming winter season for sure though.
The second disturbing factor is [zai]. He leaves EG for the second time this year just two months after joining them. Zai recently formed [the dire] with stars like [misery] (Ex-OG), [pajkatt] ([team secret]) and his former teammate [ppd] who returns from retirement.
Burning and Loda set new records
A little further down the line we find some more interesting teamless players like [injuly] (37.), [mp] (42.) [saksa], [w33] (both 45.), [moonmeander] (56.) and [khezu] (57.). The ongoing roster shuffles are going to be interesting.
And since i was already talking about ages, two players continue to set records. [burning] on rank 26 is the oldest player ever among the top 100 of the Dota 2 World Ranking. He was 29 years and 197 days old as of September 1st. Swedish player [loda] is second, just 32 days younger than the Chinese. With [fenrir], [ryze], [noia] and [nutz] four more players older than 28 years made it among the best 100 players this month.
