Evil Geniuses tops the ranking of the strongest Dota teams in November – but that is mostly because the winners of The International 2015 have an unfair advantage over other teams.

This is due to an kind of unfair advantage: Since the ranking of the strongest teams is calculated by simply adding the World Ranking scores of each teammember, EG has to lead, because they have the by far strongest substitute player – [zai]. The Swede is still the #5 in the Dota 2 Player World Ranking. Without Zai, EG would only lead by a small margin.

Team Secret only on fourth place

You may also be surprised to see [virtus.pro] as the runner-up of the ranking, but the Russians advanced to the fourth place in the Team World Ranking this month with a very stable lineup, giving them a slight edge above other teams. Same accounts for third-placed [lgd gaming].

This leaves the hottest team at the moment, [team secret] on fourth place. The team has been reshuffled a lot with players who weren’t very successful before joining Secret in August.
