Vici Gaming has taken the lead in the Dota 2 Team World Ranking from Evil Geniuses, who led the ranking eight months in a row. But they might not be on top for long…
[vici gaming] has conquered the top of the Dota 2 Team World Ranking in July. It’s their first time leading the ranking after being in second place for seven months in a row. They are just the fifth team to lead the World Ranking since the beginning of Dota 2 after [natus vincere] (August 2012 – July 2014 and October 2014), [alliance] (August 2014), [team dk] (September 2014) and [evil geniuses] (November 2014 – June 2015).
The latter lost a lot of points this month, because their efforts of June 2014, when EG von The Summit and was runner-up at ESL Frankfurt, are not counted anymore.
The Secret Team rises incredibly fast
But VG and EG might not be on top for very long: The [secret team] is closing the gap at incredible speed. The team around [puppey] won ESL Frankfurt 2015 this month which is their sixth tournament win in their twelveth tournament – astonishing!
Behind the leading three, [invictus gaming] lost some ranks, while [virtus.pro] enters the Top10 for the first time after winning ASUS ROG Dreamleague Season 3 in June. The [ninjas in pyjamas] are now close to pass [alliance] as the best swedish team around.
Fnatic enters the ranking
There are also some team which improved greatly this month: [duza gaming] for example is among the best 100 teams in the world for the first time in their career, though the russian organization lost their players during the month. The [champions of summer`s rift] however are on rank 25 now (+42) which is their best rank ever just for like the [london conspiracy] (#36), [root gaming] (#54), [north american rejects] (#59) and [lemondogs] (#86). The newly formed team of [fnatic], former [team malaysia] enters the ranking on rank 64.
