New month, new ranking: The Starcraft 2 World Ranking September 2014 is once again lead by Yoon ‚TaeJa‘ Young Suh, but his margin to runner-up Kim ’sOs‘ Yoo Jin got very small and is less than 100 points now. sOs captured the second place from Choi ‚Polt‘ Seung Hun. Son ‚StarDust‘ Seok Hee is the only new player in the top 10, but others are eagerly waiting to climb up too.

[playerbox_taeja] [taeja] is still the leader of the Starcraft 2 World Ranking. Despite winning any tournament this month, the 19 year old Korean defended his top position from his fellow countrymen. But his margin to now second placed [sos] reduced to less than a hundred points which is very small in this area.

[sos] climbed up two spots which is on the hand due to his success at IEM Toronto and Proleague this month but on the other hand due to the fall of [polt] who loses four ranks and drops to rank six. [dear] is now third, he won the Summer Series this month.

Besides that three players made notable jumps at the top: [hyun] gained six ranks to rank 4, WCS Europe champion [stardust] enters the Top10 for the first time in his career as eigth and [soulkey] re-enters the best ten players as ninth. This leaves four players to drop: Besides [polt] these are [jaedong] (7 -> 10), [maru] (9 -> 18) and [bomber] (5 -> 19).

August was a month of many important tournaments, four of which included more than 25.000 dollar prize money: IEM Toronto, Red Bull Battleground Detroit, Taiwan Open and the Proleague Playoffs. Naturally the winner (or best players) of these tournamens gained a lot of ranks: IEM-champion [flash] rises from rank 51 to 35, Taiwan Open champion [sen] from 37 to 28.

Snute is the best foreigner since NaNiwa

The best foreigner now is [snute]. The Norwegian is on rank 20. It’s the first time a foreigner is among the best 20 players of the world since [naniwa] in April. [vortix] is 27th, [sen] 28th and [scarlett] 30th. [heromarine] earned the spot of the best german player in the ranking after winning ESL Pro Series for the second time and is 52th now ahead of [tlo] (56th) and [hasuobs] (57th).

The Top100 include some new players too: [hydra1] enters on rank 72, [has] on 85, [stats], [daisy] on 93, [roro] on 95, [stats] on 97, [qxc] on 98 and [socke] on 99. For [daisy] and [has] it’s the first time that they are amongst the best 100.
