Shin ‚RagnaroK‘ Hee Bum has just won his second tournament this month – and it was kind of a big one: The 17-year-old Korean won 2nd Hong Kong Esports Tournament against Nam ‚Hurricane‘ Ki Woong in the finals. Two dutch players also attended.
[playerbox_ragnarok] Shin ‚RagnaroK‘ Hee Bum won the 2nd Hong Kong Esports Tournament this weekend. In the finals which were played out offline at the Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre he beat [sacsri] by 2:0 and [hurricane1] by 6:3 – winner bracket final and Grand Final combined. At the end he almost gave away a 3:0 lead against his opponent who came back to 3:3 but lost the deciding map.
In the online group stage and playoffs before [ragnarok] had beat players like [harstem] and [daisy]. His total mapscore was 15:6 in the end. It’s his second tournament win this month after the PughCraft Invitational #1.
[hurricane1] came in second. He defeated [sen] online, [grubby] and [sacsri] at the offline finals flawlessly but couldn’t triumph over [ragnarok] both in the winner bracket finals (0:2) and Grand Finals (3:4). However after winning the first Hong Kong Esports Tournament last year, this is [hurricane1]s second best tournament result of his career.
[grubby] was the only foreigner to attend the offline finals though not the very best Koreans attended the tournament as a whole. The dutch had a rather easy group in which he beat [ian] and [blysk] and he was able to defeat [symbol] in the quarter-finals. At Hong Kong he couldn’t win a single map though and lost to both [hurricane1] and [sacsri]. His fellow countryman [harstem] dropped out in the online group stage as did [sen], [state] and [petreaeus].
