The finnish qualifier at the Assembly LAN in Helsinki consisted of 16 players of which [welmu], [elfi] and [serral] were well known. The three qualified for the playoffs quite easily, only [elfi] was struggling a little in the group phase.
In the semifinals, [welmu] beat [elfi] in a PvP while [serral] won the ZvZ vs [pupu] but stood little chances in the Final.
For [welmu], the victory means a paid trip to Baku in November and 200 World Ranking points. [serral] earned 100 points which is his best performance since April.
But in terms of World Ranking [pupu] is the greatest winner of the Assembly LAN. His 50 points earned for the 3rd place not only mark his biggest success yet but also almost double his ranking points from 66 to 116 which equals a jump from rank 419 to 339. Needless to say that this is the highest he has ever been.
