Clement ‚Puppey‘ Ivanov is already the best Dota 2 player of all time, but in this months Dota 2 World Ranking he leaves his opponents in dust. His former teammates climb up the ranks though.
Puppey claimed the top of the Dota 2 Player World Ranking last month back after more than a year and it doesn’t seem like he wants to give it away anytime soon. He leads in the December ranking by a margin of about 17,000 points which is the amount you get for roughly three major tournament victories. So if the Estonian, already the most successful Dota 2 player of all time, won’t suddenly retire, he’ll stay safe on the top spot for some more months.
Kuroky, s4 and BigDaddy are winners at the top
His hardest challengers are his former teammates: Both KuroKy, now with Team Liquid, and s4, who went back to Alliance, played together with Puppey on Team Secret a year ago. Now they passed Evil Geniuses Fear, ppd and UNiVeRsE.
BigDaddy, also a former teammate of Puppey and current Frankfurt Major champion, made a big jump 28 ranks up into the top10 – the best rank in his career so far. The same applies for Puppeys new carry EternaLEnVy who is eigth now.
These are the high rising players of the Dota 2 World Ranking
The greatest jumps in the ranking made the substitute players though. A lot of pro teams signed a sixth or even seventh player to their team due to roster locking and these players now profit a lot from their teams success: QQQ from Vici Gaming for example rises by 380 ranks this month, Fervian from Team Empire by 235 and Pablo from Alliance by 162.
