It might have been a dire month for Starcraft 2, but for german Lars ‚Chabby‘ Nawarotzky it was the best of his career. The 18-year-old is our Mover of the Month.
Chabby is a young german player that only appeared in three tournaments so far. But the ChallengeWars, a minor tournament in February, was the best one of his career. Though he lost to Zanster in the Round of 8, he never made it so far before. That takes him to new heights in the World Ranking as well: Chabby improves by 421 ranks and his now on World Rank 393.
Canadians dominate the Mover of the Month list
The list of the mover of the month is dominated by Canadian players – for a simple reason: They all participated at the LAN ETS 2017, a canadian LAN which gave not so well known players a chance to prove themselves. While the tournament was won by Canadas second best, MaSa (only lacking a bit behind Scarlett at the moment), few others took the chance to gather ranking points.
Zenedor (5.), Jig (7.), monOxyde and PrAeTor (both 9.) all appear in our list of the greatest movers in the World Ranking. The LAN ETS gave all of them a boost of up to 200 ranks. For Zenedor and Praetor it was the best tournament of their careers. For Jig at least the best in a year.
In between the Canadians rank Bluecheese and Healer from Russia. Both qualified for the monthly final of the Go4Sc2 Cup Series and dropped out in the Round of 8. For Healer this constitues the best tournament of his life, for BlueCheese it’s the best in six months.
