Starcraft 2 World Ranking December

Life is the big winner in Starcraft 2 World Ranking December while Bomber stays at the top

November is always a month of big tournaments in Starcraft 2: WCS Global Finals, Dreamhack Winter, HomeStory Cup X and MSI Beat It shaped the World Ranking of December – which features a big comeback.

Starcraft 2 World Ranking December

[bomber] stays at the top of the World Ranking in December. The 26-year-old has lost some points but a fifth place at the WCS Global Finals was enough to maintain his leadership. The margin is narrowing though: [hyun] – fifth at HomeStory Cup X and ninth at WCS – came as close as WCS-runner-up [mma]. Just a thousand points separate these three players.

Huge comeback by [life]

The biggest winner of this ranking is [life] though. The 17-year-old had a slump this year but came back just in time winning the WCS Global Finals and being runner-up at Dreamhack Winter. His fifth rank is the best position he had since October 2013. From April to June of last year, the young Korean even lead the ranking.

[taeja], [innovation] and [jaedong] drop down

The top ten players who lost some ranks are [taeja] (-5 ranks), [innovation] (-8), [sos] (-13) and [jaedong] (-4). They all suffered from the fact that their achievements of last November aren’t included in the ranking any more.

[snute] remains the strongest foreigner

As for the foreigners, nothing much has changed. [snute] is still the best non-Korean in the ranking on position 16. His is now followed by [bunny] (31 / +5) who passed [scarlett] (32 / 6). Next up are [jim] (34 / -2), [sen] (35 / -8), [major] (36 / +1), [vortix] (37 / +1) and [huk] (38 / +7).

[kangho] on the rise

Another comeback of this November was the rebirth of [kangho]. The former top10-player had dropped down to rank 235 but this month he surprised with third placed at both HomeStory Cup X and the „32 Boys 1 Cup“ tournament. Other players with significant steps ahead are [first] (47 / +20), [ty] (84 / +20) and [xy] (90 / +59).

[duckdeok] and [moonglade] leave the World Ranking

Thanks to the women only tournament at IeSF World Championships, some more women entered the World Ranking like winner [mayuki] and her runner-ups [soyhi] and [aurelia]. On the other hand, some famous players left the World Ranking like former WCS Europe champion [duckdeok] and Australias most famous player [moonglade].
