Hard cut at HomeStory Cup X: 16 players are out and the 16 best will fight for $25,000 this weekend. On board: Eleven Koreans, three of which are in the Top10 of the World Ranking – and five foreigners!

[taeja] is already the dominating player of the HomeStory Cups by TakeTV in Krefeld, Germany. The Korean won all of the past three tournaments and is still in the competition in the current HomeStory Cup X. His recent runner-ups [mc], [hyun] and [snute] (who was the last one to win the cup before [taeja]) join him in the round of 16 today alongside some new faces.

[jaedong] for example is part of the „group of death“ today which features him, [taeja], [mc] and [yoda] – at least one of the 11 best players in the world won’t make it to the playoffs.

The other groups won’t be boring though: Group A consists of [flash], [tlo], [hasuobs] and [kangho]. The latter is by far the least ranked player in the tournament as of now, but he already eliminated [jjakji] and [dimaga]. [flash] is the favourite in this group though – interesting to see how the german players can compete.

Foreigners in tough groups

Group C seems like already decided with [hyun] and [parting] as huge favourites over [bunny] (at least the second best foreigner this year) and [sacsri]. Group D should see [snute] and [first] advance to the playoffs but don’t underestimate [mana] and [ty].
