By winning the Dota 2 Asia Championship, Clinton ‚Fear‘ Loomis and Saahil ‚UNiVeRsE‘ Arora rose among the ten most successul Dota 2 players of all time – a ranking that is still dominated by the former lineup of Natus Vincere.

Both [fear1] and [universe] got the 6,400 points necessary to enter the top10 by winning the Dota 2 Asia Championships in February with their team [evil geniuses]. Both players also currently lead the Dota 2 Player World Ranking and the Dota 2 Team World Ranking.

Fear stays with Evil Geniuses for four years

[fear1] started his Dota 2 career in 2011 when he joined [ok.nirvana.int] but stayed with them just for a week. Then he switched to [evil geniuses] and stayed with the american team since. He won his first tournament, the joinDota Masters 1, back in March 2012 and his first major tournament in April 2014, the MLG T.K.O. America.

[universe] was at his side at EG from May to September 2012 but then parted ways. He left for [quantic gaming] which was rather unsuccessul, so a few months later he was signed by [team dignitas]. The british team disbanded in September 2013 and UNiVeRsE rejoined the Evil Geniuses, defining the now dominating team since.

Five global tournaments won in a year

Together Fear and UNiVeRsE won five global tournaments with more than $100,000 prize money each in just a year – Dota 2 Asia Championships, The Summit, World E-sport Championships, ASUS ROG DreamLeague Season 2 and Star Ladder Star Series Season 10. Given the current shape of [evil geniuses] it is not very bold to say that both might even become the most successful Dota 2 players of all time soon.
