Evil Geniuses tops the ranking of the strongest Dota teams in November – but that is mostly because the winners of The International 2015 have an unfair advantage over other teams.
Evil Geniuses remain the strongest team of competitive Dota in November 2015. This is due to an kind of unfair advantage: Since the ranking of the strongest teams is calculated by simply adding the World Ranking scores of each teammember, EG has to lead, because they have the by far strongest substitute player – zai. The Swede is still the #5 in the Dota 2 Player World Ranking. Without Zai, EG would only lead by a small margin.
Team Secret only on fourth place
You may also be surprised to see Virtus.pro as the runner-up of the ranking, but the Russians advanced to the fourth place in the Team World Ranking this month with a very stable lineup, giving them a slight edge above other teams. Same accounts for third-placed LGD Gaming.
This leaves the hottest team at the moment, Team Secret on fourth place. The team has been reshuffled a lot with players who weren’t very successful before joining Secret in August. The exceptional player is of course team captain and best Dota player in the world, Puppey. But with their ongoing success, Team Secret will rapidly climb the ranking.
Team Liquid and DigitalChaos potential top-tier-teams
The top teams of the strength ranking do not differ much from the actual World Ranking. Alliance and Team Liquid are higher ranks here showing their potential for future tournaments. ALso [digitalchaos] and the CIS Rejects are possible top tier teams in the near future.
