That was to be expected since the Americans won the most prestigious Dota 2 Tournament of the Summer Season, The International 2015. They have a 10,000 points lead to their closest rival [vici gaming] now which is a huge gap. This comes to no surprise though since EG has won the two most paying tournaments of this year with the mentioned International and the Dota 2 Asia Championships in February, accounting for more than 21 million US-dollars in prize money.
CDEC Gaming heading for the top tier
There hasn’t been a single change among the best thirteen teams this month but this isn’t going to prevail since inactive teams like [cloud 9] and [asus.polar] will drop out of the ranking in the upcoming months while others force their way into the top tier.
This means [cdec gaming] for example. The chinese team was the surprising runner-up of the International and subsequently gained seven ranks to rank 14 this month. Funny side note: CDEC was second in the last four tournaments that they competed in. They never won a tournament so far.
South East Asia Championships boosts several teams

The former competed in five tournaments in August of which a third place at the South East Asia Championship stands out as their best performance. The latter won said tournament which marks their first victory in their first ever final and 12th tournament ever.
The best newcomer of the month is [who2bet], runner-up of the mentioned South East Asia Championship. The newly formed [sg rejects] are the first team from the Post-TI5-Shuffle which earns themselves a place in the World Ranking.
