Cr1t- leads the Dota 2 World Ranking for the fifth time in just seven months. It didn’t take much effort this time though.
[cr1t-] is once again the best Dota player in the world. The 20-year-old Dane didn’t complete any tournament in February with his team [evil geniuses] but that’s okay, because his closest predators [kaka] and [kphoenii] took some time off as well.
Dota 2 World Rankings Top10 see many new faces
So it’s somebody elses time to shine: [bigdaddy] and [fly3], former teammates of Cr1t, did so and gained two ranks each. Both share World Rank 4 now, almost on par with the Newbee-players. The ranks behind them are filled with new faces as well: [jerax] and [miracle-] rise astonishing ten ranks after winning the SL i-league with their team [team liquid] while the whole lineup of [wings gaming] gets comfortable on a shared World Rank 8. It’s the first time that [bian1], [blink], [iceice], [innocence (y´)] and [shadow1] enter the top10.
Where so many great players rise, some have to fall as well. The lineup of [evil geniuses] got hit this month, because the team didn’t compete in any event. Thus, [suma1l], [zai], [arteezy] and [universe] all drop out of the best ten players.
FY, Fenrir and GH are the movers of the month
Two former world-class players work their way up meanwhile: [fy] and [fenrir], World Rank 3 back in July 2015, climbed the most in February due to their second place at SL i-league with [team vg.j]. Both stayed true to different teams of Vici for more than four years now – impressive. Their new teammember [freeze] rises to World Rank 215 after his first ever major final.
We also see some comebacks in the World Ranking this month: [h4nni], who signed with [ninjas in pyjamas] after some time off of Dota 2, jumped up by almost 600 ranks, though to be fair, there is much room for improvement still with World Rank 881 now. Liquids new addition [gh] is the second mover of the month. The before unknown Libanese rises 468 ranks and is among the top200 players in the world now.
