Complexity wins the Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 6 against Elite Wolves

Complexity Gaming wins of the Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 6. In a final without any Canadians they beat Elite Wolves for their first title in almost four years.

Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 6

[complexity gaming] just won their first tournament since April 2012. They beat the [elite wolves] in the finals of the Dota 2 Canada Cup Season 6, after losing to the Peruvians in the winner bracket finals some days ago. Before that Complexity had only lost one map to [digitalchaos] in the quarter-finals.

Infamous plays their best tournament at the Canada Cup

[elite wolves] had surprisingly lost to [fdl] in the group phase of the 16-teams-tournament but beat all other opponents flawlessly (except for one map against [team archon]) – until the Grand Final. It was the third final for the Peruvians in just ten days. They won both ProDotA Cup Americas #2 and The Choco Cup at the end of January.

Their fellow countrymen from [infamous] came in third, playing the best tournament in their young team history. The team just formed in December out of former players of [unknown.xiu]. Though we are aware of their potential, that makes them the biggest surprise of the Canada Cup.

Canadian teams disappoint

The tournament was a struggle for the ambitioned squad of [digitalchaos] though: The team of [aui_2000] was sent to the lower bracket early on and couldn’t fight back to the top, losing the deciding match to [infamous] and finishing the Canada Cup as fourth.

Just two canadian teams participated by the way – and both didn’t make it past the group stage. While this wasn’t necessarily expected from [boreal esports] – who surprised with a second place at the last Canada Cup – it comes as kind of a disappointment for the [void boys]. Especially after the team had performed much better days ago at the ProDota Cup.
