Ever heard of ST_ST? The Norwegian is our „Mover of the Month“ in the Dota 2 World Ranking, jumping 728 ranks up from August to September.

With more than 2,000 players in the Dota 2 World Ranking right now, it is hard to see which one made the biggest impact recently. That is why i created the category „Mover of the Month“ – and the award goes to [st_st] in September.

ST_ST triples his ranking points in just one month

The Norwegian, real name and age unknown, rises 728 ranks this month to World Rank 616. It’s his fourth appearance in the World Ranking and in just four months he has already played for three different teams. He made his entry into the ranking as part of the [disco inferno] in June with former [alliance]-standin [pablo] as their most famous player. Just one and a half months and three tournaments later the team disbanded.

ST_ST switched to romanian based [team moriaty] where he only stayed for ten days in August though before going to [sfte-sports]. A good decision, because the team won the ProDota Cup Europe 21 just two days later. The 444 ranking points the Norwegian got for this more than tripled his stack and shot him up into the best 700 players of the planet.

Two Belorussians shake up the ranking

If you don’t know SFTe-Sports yet it features [illidan] (Ex-[virtus.pro]) and [niqua] (Ex-Alliance) as their key players. Their new teammate [peksu] even rose by more than 1,300 ranks this month but he started from the bottom, so it was fairly obvious.

Second to ST_ST are [palantimos] and [lasthero-]. Both first appeared in the Dota 2 World Ranking in October 2016 as part of the belorussian team [paragon esports]. Just two months later the team disbanded. Now both made their comeback with [the brestomans], a newly formed team from Belarus which made their debut by winning the Dota 2 Champions League Season 12 in August. The victory boosted both player up more than 500 ranks

Others in the list of the Movers of August include well-known swedish players [niqua] and [micke] as well as [cartman] of [execration] and [solotic], who after three months of inactivity made a brief but successful show at [lorem ipsum]. The team from Thailand instantly won the ProDota Cup Asia.
